Tim Hudson continued to improve his career hit batters total yesterday, hitting Danny Espinosa. Hudson has now hit 102 batters, making him the third pitcher born in Georgia to reach that total. He’s still 25 plunks behind Kenny Rogers and 37 behind Kevin Brown on the Georgia all time hit batters list though.

The Brewers have played 8 games on Fridays this year, and they’ve been hit by 12 pitches in those games. Yesterday Corey Hart, Aramis Ramirez and Travis Ishikawa all got hit yesterday bringing the Brewers National League leading HBP total to 29. Ramirez’ plunk was his 91st, tying him for 5th place among batter born in the Dominican Republic, with Placido Polanco. Ishikawa’s plunk was his 1st as a Brewer, and he’s the 249th batter ever to take an HBP for the Brewers franchise. The live-ball era for one team getting hit by pitches on Fridays is 20, most recently by the 2009 Phillies.
